Headed up to Crossans get tyres for the s1000rr,some visors, some pinlocks and also on to Philip McCallans for a test ride of the new KTM Superduke.

2 degrees C and prettty chilly, but the weather was nice and the coastal roads out past belfast and Larne were lovely.
Riding down the Crumlin Road in Belfast was a bit sketchy, especially when I stopped for petrol and asked for directions.:pac:

All in all though,a good day out and a nice ride of the bikes.:)

Those Thruxtons are beautiful, I seen one up at the bike show and we were all in agreement that they were the one of the most eye catching things on display.

How's the SD go? Is it as much as a weapon as you thought it'd be or were you surprised at all?

Triumph seem to be making lovely bikes these days allright.

The SD is lovely to ride.
1290cc v-twin and so punchy out of the corners, the sport mode is like warp drive.
Id be going for the GT version as theres a good bit more aerodynamic wind protection on her.
Great bike to fly around on the twisties, very flickable and plenty of go in her in all gears.
Comfy riding position too,but maybe a tad too upright when giving it the beans and on a windy day.:pac:

So it would deffo be the the GT version Id have for those 2 reasons.
