    Are there grants available to set up a business in the UK? I want to start a security company.

    I rang the UK business funding centre today and they wanted me to pay 350 pounds for links to over 600 grants available for businesses. 
    Sounding right until she mentioned the 350 pound part.

    It sounds like they were looking to charge you for them to search this for you?

    There's only 511 in total so they must have rounded that up to over 600 so people feel they are getting good value!

    There's no fee for that but donations are welcome.
