    Hey,

    (1) Since she has kids living there while you have kids staying there at the weekend the Social Welfare will side with her. They're not going to relocate her because of the kids. But since your own kids do not live there they will tell you to relocate. Simply put they are going to shrug their shoulders and say "what do you want us to do?" (You can't blame them as well)

    (2) They're not going to give you another place. They'll put you on the list and that may take years for you to be offered a place.

    (3) If you think this is going to turn toxic then the only solution is to get out and rent some room. Even if you do not hand the funds to do this comfortable.

    No worries man.
Sounds like you're in a tough spot. Sure if you managed to find a place you can't get rent allowance until 6 months in too.

Maybe you'd be better off asking in the state benefits forum. Might be something that could help.
