    1. I am a landlord and my tenants agreed to be liable for previous water charges, am I entitled to check if they have registered and paid all outstanding bills? Also, who would be liable when they move out, if water charges are re-introduced?

    If you would like to send us a PM with the address of the property and your own name, we can confirm if there is someone other than yourself registered at the property. However, we can't provide the names or details of those who may be registered, for data protection reasons.

    If the tenants of a property have registered their details with Irish Water, they are responsible for any bills owed for the period of time they lived at the property. We would advise that tenants contact us up to 10 days prior to their moving date so that we can update all details accordingly.

    As the landlord of a domestic property, you are obliged to contact Irish Water and provide the names of your tenants and the start date of the agreement you have with your tenants, to ensure that you are not held liable for water charges should your tenants remain unregistered with us.

    2. I'm looking for information relating to the Lithium and Magnesium levels present in the water supply across the country. Is this something that IW would have available?

    As Lithium is not a regulatory parameter, it is not included in our monitoring programmes.

    However, we can provide Magnesium data from 2014 to the present day (i.e. when Irish Water was established). If you require data earlier than this, we recommend you see the EPA's SAFER website, which you can find here.

    3. Where can I find information on the average water usage per household?

    Please see our website here for more information on consumption.

    4. Who do I contact for water Utility maps?

    Please contact us via private mail in relation to this matter.

    5. We have no water in our house, can you tell me when the supply will be restored?

    If this matter is still ongoing would you mind sending the following details by private message:

    -Name;
    -Address and;
    -Contact Number.
