Had a good laugh at the quote about Bray being full of girls of ill repute, wonder is that still the case? :pac:

Let me tell you this, when people get excited about Bray Head, it's not a mountain walk they're talking about.

Its hilarious,... innocent country girls coming to Dublin should be encouraged to join a solidarity,... couples in the backseats of the cinema getting up to no good.

Kilkenny was "famous" for the transmission of veneral diseases. There's more to that place than hurling.

    Reminds me of this

Dublin had one of the largest redlight districts in Europe until the Catholics moved in post independence. Apparently there's an old tunnel that runs from the custom house to it so that the gentry could slip in and out unnoticed. And there's a rumour that it was such a "good" redlight district that at one point the crown prince was shipped over to lose his virginity.

I guess once Monto was shut down the girls moved to the suburbs and Bray :)
