HKC Securewatch 8/12 and 8 zone expander

I have a Securewatch 8/12 dating from around 2006. Will an 8-zone expander card work with this? The 8/12 manual I have only describes a 4-zone expander card but maybe the 8-zone card didn't exist when the manual was written! Thanks.

No only the 4 zone expander works with an 8/12 as the panel can only handle a total of 12 zones
