Well it appears to me that is all happening again on the property market in Ireland and once again the gazumping and greed has crept back into the Irish market. Auctioneers in this part of the country are advertising properties i.e Asking Price 200 grand but that does not actually mean what it says. Someone with that figure in their pocket might be forgiven for thinking they could afford that property but will soon find that when they approach the auctioneer and make the offer of the asking price they will be told ahhh but theres already an offer of 220 on that one and there's 7 more people interested. Realistically the house is only worth the original asking price -or less in some cases-but auctioneers are clever little divils here in the land of saints and scholars and are pushing prices up and up and lets just all sit back and wait for the next bubble or recession or whatever we are going to call it this time.
