F1000 as Access Point

Hi, Im currently on VF and using the HG658c but I have found that the wifi on it is very limited in regards to range. I have an old F1000, I was wondering if I could turn this into an access point, and how? Has anyone here done it before and if so could you try and guide me through it? Thanks
