Irish reg car in England not needed - advice

    Some Advice wanted.
I drove to England in this car and moved to north London, I now no longer need the car and want to know what to do with it.
It costs about £250 to change the car to English plates.

The car is a 1.4 litre Renault Clio, 195000 miles, NCT until March, most recently serviced at 190,000 miles. In daily use and drives fine. I have the log book etc.

They are for sale in England for about £300, I don't really want to change plates over or drive it back to Ireland.

    What to do with it?

You'll get more for a sale than you will for scrap, and no one from Ireland will go to the expense of flying over to buy it to bring back. I'd take an hour to polish it up, hoover and wash, then sell for as much as you can. Its spend 250GBP to use it in the UK or make 50GBP on the sale. I'd go with the latter if you don't need it.

Isn't it only £55 to register the vehicle in the UK, or are you including paying for motor tax as well?
