Hi, just wondering get what's is best way to sell weanlings? Groups of 2-3, singles? Do singles favour the dealer or farmer?

The more you can match up together the better, often put 5-6 together. A good heifer that might be bought for breeding is the only exception I have seen.

2 be the most we run through together. The buying can hit a low for few minutes which can be long enough for you to lose out.

I always prefer singles, there isn't two animals the same, grand if it's a group of plain stock, but I'd never sell good ones in a single batch, I always find there will be more lads for the singles. Also if you are batching the age is very important imo. Nothing worse than seeing a batch of 3or4 equal weight and a six month age gap.
