    Hi folks,

I am looking for a decent PTZ network camera to install above a calving pen.

I'm not looking a NVR, just want to be able to view this on phone/tablet/pc.

I'd like it to be open to view on anything, not tied to their own software and not something costing an absolute fortune..

    Any good recommendations?

    Cheers,
    mcquaim

Looking at getting an IP Camera. Did you order this and how has it been?

Any pros and cons you'd like to share?

    Thanks ks BobbyT28

    Hi Bobby,

Yes, the are really good for the price.. We ended up buying a second one as we liked the first one that much.

One thing I noticed with the second one is that it's much quicker the auto-focus than the first one. When you would zoom in/out in the first camera it would sometimes take a while to focus, especially under low light. The second one is much better though. I keep meaning to update the firmware in the first one to see if this is a software fix or different hardware between the two cameras.

The app the have is also pretty decent also, no real complaints with it. We don't have this recording 24/7 so can't report on that, these are being used for calving cameras on a farm.

    Cheers,
    Mac

Fair play thanks for the reply.

Yeah they look really good for the price. Do you know if they can be connected to an NVR? Have you got them powered over POE?

    Yeah, Reolink sell NVR’s also.

We have both cameras powered via POE, was going to be too difficult to get Power up to where we needed to mount them.., It’s a lot more weather proof also to only have the camera and 1 cat5 cable running to it to seal it all up!

Good to read your feedback regarding the Reolink RLC-410 camera. Was looking at this kit last night and while both Amazon and independent reviews look good it's a brand I hadn't heard of previously.
