My car has these bulbs for the high beam and I assume haven't been replaced since new 9 years ago. I'm thinking of replacing them, and to have some spare, from reading Toshiba or Philips seems to be best but I can't find them in Europe, apart from eBay and that's too full of fakes for such a critical part of the car. I can get from the US but want to avoid duty and hassle if faulty.

All I can find are MTEC from Hids direct and a few different brands on Amazon (MTEC, Vosla, Osram and a couple of no names)

I know that Osram makes quality standard bulbs but I don't want to drop nearly £50 unless I know that there will be a significant improvement in light quality. Has any one any experience of the MTEC or Vosla bulbs or know where I can get Toshiba or Philips HIR1 bulbs?

    Thanks
