    Hi Everyone,

I have a Medion E7313 LifeTab and it runs android 4.2.2? It is used mainly by my son for free apps and for that it is grand. However, he wants to get an application that needs 4.4 or higher.

Now I have looked up on web for advice on how to install a better OS, (there is no support by the manufacture) and while I have rooted other better supported devices I am having no luck with this. My skills are limited to following explicit instructions.

    Questions:

Can some point me to a plain English site, to date I have not found one. In the past I could fine step by step sites for my Motorola etc?

Is this something that I could have a telephone shop do without too much hassle?

    Is it worth it?

    Any advice welcome.

Its a cheapo tablet from Medion, there's no community around it as its niche and low end thus no ROMs to install. Doesnt even have its own segment on XDA.

If he needs the app he'll need a newer device. The advantage of something like a Nexus7/Galaxy Tab is there's a few million units sold so there's a community making improvements for them.
