Anyone see the 3 part series on bobby moore and his wife tina?

Have to say it painted moore out to be a bit of a bad egg, messed west ham about and ended up nasty to his wife..... i'm wondering was his demise all down to the fact that he thought he was better than everyone else... the FA wouldnt give him an ambassadors role and after he stopped playing nobody seemed to want to know him, i wonder was it because he was a horrible person to deal with, was it because he was hard on the booze? did the WC win over inflate his ego making him think he was better than he actually was? It would be interesting to find out what the real bobby moore was like...the series more or less painted him as a nice young man initially but radically changed after winning the WC and towards the end he was an ass hole and nobody wanted anything to do with him.... a sad life really

Not sure what to make of it. The 60's soundtrack was great but the story but was a bit disjointed. It was based on a book by Tina Moore so it was probably never going to be too kind to Bobby. The timeline was a bit out of sync and neither of them seemed to age, apart from the final scene when they met on the train and Tina still looked about 25 while they'd aged Bobby fairly badly.

yea i agree, they didnt highlight the timelines enough, it just seemed to bounce forward so many years without it being stipulated in the show, plus Tina looked 25 the whole way through...considering what bobby did to tina i thought it was actually pretty kind to him! but because of how he was shunned after he stopped playing i can only assume it was because he wasnt a nice individual or had alcohol issues
