    Hi all,
We were hoping to have a coffee van come to the church for after the ceremony, December wedding, thought people would like a coffee/ tea/ hot choc to warm them up.. I know I would! Had our hearts set on one from Sligo but she's not available, anyone know of any others in the northwest or not too far from the NW area? :)

    Nice idea.

The only issue here would be the time it takes to make coffees and hot chocolates.

If you think about how long it takes to get a coffee in a coffee shop with 4 people in the queue in front of you... then add an extra 100 people..

Would you think about going down the flask route - you can hire large flasks

    Maybe mulled wine too?

One thing to consider also is, if it's cold and / or wet, will people not just want to get to the venue rather than hang around a church car park?

Yeah we're wondering that if it's raining people won't want to hang around, then again my brother in law had an Icecream van in may and it rained and people still got Icecream ;-) we have mulled wine for our arrival drinks anyways.. just if it was easy to organise we'd go for it

Would it be worth going to a farmers market nearby and asking around. Lots of mobile coffee stalls.

Just make sure you run this by the church first. My SIL was going to have a hot chocolate van come to the church for after her wedding (December, like you guys) but when she checked with the church they said no for health & safety reasons. They said if she wanted to do Ice creams or milkshakes or juice etc it was grand, but hot drinks were a no-no.

Oh good point, cheers Toots, never thought of that!
