Hi just after some info on car seats in vans. I have a 2015 Vivaro and have my 18 month old in a Britax seat in the front with me. My 2nd is due in a couple of weeks and I'm thinking ahead for in 6 months as I'm more flexible with work I do the drop offs and pick ups so I'll need 2 seats in the van. I'm just wondering does anyone know
    1. Will 2 seats fit
    2. Is it safe to have them side by side in the van copse together if they do fit.

    TIA
    Chris.

    Is there a passenger airbag?
If so you need to be able stop it working or it could be fatal in an accident.

Once the seats have 3 point seat belts and there's no interference between the child seats they are fine. If fitted correctly they'll be safer than the huge percentage in cars which aren't fitted correctly.

Only thing is if the van is commercial its a dead giveaway its being misused, they are clamping down big time on it in my area

You can't fit a rear facing child seat in an airbag enabled vehicle.
The airbag inflating can kill a baby.

I would hope that I didn't have to inform a parent about that. Plenty of vehicles have the ability to turn it off.

Agreed, but many still don't understand. Plus vans aren't usually designed for kids and as such may not have an airbag disable switch or keylock.
The new Pajero commercials have it but I am not sure about Vivaro's?
