    Hi All

Thinking of picking up a DS for the little lad.

Which version of it is the most current?

Wouldn't really be interested in the 3D but don't want to limit the games available.

Would be interested in a large screen. Its mainly platform style games that would be played

    Cheers!

3DS XL is the most up to date version.

Technically the "New 3DS XL" is the most up date version. There is a regular 3DS XL that's not as powerful and doesn't have great 3D.

Amazon.fr is a great place to buy the new 3DS XL, I saved up to 50-60 euros.

I bought two 3DS XL there in the last two months and got the charger locally.
