You're going to have to provide a bit more information than that otherwise you're just going to get vague answers.

What car year are you interested in?
    What budget do you have?
    Petrol or diesel?
What are your requirements from a car?
How did you arrive at those two models?

The more information you give the better advice and recommendations you'll get.

Apologies.. 4 grand or abouts.. diesel.. 1.6 ish.. 2008 or 2009... both hatchbacks.. im going from a fiesta so didn't really want anything too big.. drive about an hour and a half everyday.. more during summer but im heavy footed.. so basically the most economical car running for that price..

    €4K 09 diesel will be a $hitebox.

Maybe I'm asking for the impossible?

    You kind of are.

The only chance you have is by getting something nobody else would think of. Anything mainstream for that money is a dud.

You might find a Hyundai Accent or Kia Rio 1.5 diesel for close to budget, nobody wants them, but they're actually quite reliable.

Ok so what do I do? Just buy something for a grand and get me out a year r 2 until I get more savings or what? Lik I already spend 50 euro petrol a week on a 1.3 fiesta and 400 tax

How much driving are you getting for your €50?

I know a 2008 car is 9 years old but with a budget of 4k you're going to be looking at fairly tired examples of these cars. 1.6 TDCi Focus within that price range could be a potential money pit and the 1.3 CDTi Astra would be a bit gutless. The 1.7 CDTi engine in the Astra while old and crude would probably be a safer bet from those two.

The Kia Ceed 1.6 diesel is worth a look at, would be less troublesome than either the Focus or Astra. For example:

I was actually looking at kia ceed and rio but thought the car isn't as good as not many around.. also a Renault megane.. I know im not spending proper money but if I could get myself out for 4 years I'd be happy..

350km per week is not huge mileage, you should consider a similar sized petrol car, your 4k will go alot further and a petrol car is bound to have had less usage than a diesel car of that age/price range.

No I'm not to bad on the roads but you can double that come April. . Also I bring supplies in my car so that added weight and poor fiesta just can't handle it.. not that shel pass nct anyway.. I like the idea of ceed or rio.. I just honestly have d worst luck with cars.. this is number 4 since I started driving 10 years ago..
