Ovarian cyst

    Hi all,
    I have recently found out that I have a large cyst on my left ovary, there is a strong history of Ovarian cancer in my fathers side of the family so quite worried. The gynaecologist told me that she would refer me to the Coombe to have a laprascopy carried out, but I haven't heard anything back from them. Does anyone know how long roughly I'll be waiting to find out, what to expect etc? All advice would be strongly appreciated as I'm driving myself up the wall with worry.

    I have a medium cyst on my left ovary (but is suspected to be endometrisis related) and I am waiting for a laprascopy as well - but as I am waiting I don't know any answers to your questions sorry.

    I suggest asking in the ladies lounge as this threadis for any female related illness/questions. I am sure more people with the same experience will see it there. Just post a similar question in there as well as leaving this here.

    I am sure the worry is unfounded, but it does not feel like that at the time. I hope you get seen soon and all is well x

    Hi, did you get your surgery done in Coombe and were they good?
    How long was the wait?
