I for one appreciate the effort and the contributions you put into the forum, Mad_Lad. A good moderator of a forum is not at all the same as a good contributor though. A moderator is more of a janitor who keeps the peace, tidies things up, makes sure there's a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to all comers new and old. Someone who keeps contacts with other moderators and category moderators. Some of the best moderators of boards.ie don't contribute any content to their forum at all!

Hope you can see it in from this viewpoint.

Ah tis no problem , not sure I would have the time for modding and talking Sh*te too.

I remember having to push for a hybrid and EV sub forum to get away from the uneducated aggressiveness in the main motors forum , how things change, this one is getting busier and busier.

You make it sound like a moderator's responsibility is the upkeep of a quaint B&B in the lush countryside with daffodils outside the door, whereas a lot of users of boards feel it's more like nepotism and a self perpetuating oligarchy!
