    Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a VW Golf off Autopoint Motor Group dealers in Tralee in Kerry and I was just wondering what relevant checks I need to do on this car before purchasing i.e cartel check etc. Any help would be great.
    Thanks

You do the same checks you would do on any car being sold. Get the UK reg, run a history report on it. If it's more than 3 years old then put the UK reg in here to check the mileage: https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/

Look at the service history and ring the garages who stamped the service book to verify what they did matches what the book says.

The car is a 2013 (132) should that work in the uk mot database because it does not seem to be picking up a match. What are the usual checks, cartel check or motor check, is that it?

I have just attached the motorcheck document for this car. Do you think this car is ok to buy. Any advice?

    Thanks
