Lexus is200 misfiring

    I have a 03 Lexus is200. 153000 miles.
A few weeks ago it began to misfire and is well back in power since!
At first I thought it was just a spark plug so I changed all 6. No joy with this so I checked the vvti solenoid and it seems fine! Next thing that came to mind was the catalytic converter so I removed the exhaust and ran the car but the horrible misfire was still there! I next used a fuel system cleaner but it done nothing! I was low in petrol and I drove up a hill when the problem started so I thought maybe dirt from the bottom of the tank got into the fuel lines but the fuel system cleaner made no difference so it mustn't be this!
Anybody got any ideas what could be wrong? It's driving me crazy as the car is just horrible to drive now! I'm thinking it could be the coil packs or spark leads? Anybody come across this problem before? Thanks ðŸ˜

Do you have a fault reader? If you do, read which cylinder is misfiring, move the coil pack to another cylinder and if the misfire moves with it, you know it's a coil pack.

No I have no fault reader unfortunately

As above you need a direction to go in and a fault code scan at or local garage may help in this regard.
