    Hi all
    Just wondering about cameras
Cars and vans seen to be coming up to my farmyard more and more frequent.
Thankfully nothing has been taken so far . I saw a van coming out the other day but was too far away to get the reg. It was sunday and he had no business there. I was hoping to mount a camera on the shed that would record on a loop just to get registration no.
Any particular place to buy.- makes or price.
Gates are not an option as I have elderly parents there and would have to open 3 sets of gates
    Thanks

Google trail cameras, best option in remote locations, will record onto SD card, can be set to record photos or short video, they're good at night too.

Put up a sign saying something like
'By passing this point you are consenting to being recorded'

    I'll look them up thanks
Meanwhile I was talking to a fella to install one . 450e for a camera that you can use on your phone. I already have a dongle for the calving camera other than that it would be 520e.
It records say and night there's a card in it I think it costs around 5e a month to top it up.
I can go back to any day or time to check footage.
    Sounds dear
But I'm not very tech minded

When you have the cameras up, ensure you have the "no trespassing" and "CCTV in operation" signs in view. And then inform the Gardai of the vehicle registrations of the repeat visitors.

    Sound I'll do that.
The signs could also be a deterrent
