Ford Fiesta 2012 radio

    Looking for some help/advice.

My car stereo has a fault. It's saying CD drive error (no cd in) MP3 error on the screen and making a fizzing/popping sound over the radio whether the radio is switched on or off, and even when the car is switched off at the ignition and locked externally. I took out the fuse as I was worried about my battery going flat as it's using power and also driving me mental. You can still hear whatever radio station you're tuned in to but the this loud noise is there over it. It sounds like white noise but really loud no matter what the volume is set to.

Looking for recommendations for someone who can fix it, North Dublin preferably.

Most likely model no. of radio is 6000. Fault you mention is common and repairable but most likely you have 2 faults ...... crackling plus cd fault.

Any idea where I might get it fixed? I've seen a good video on how to fix it on YouTube but I'm a bit nervous of opening up the dashboard.

I don't think the you tube video will sort it out , remedy is a little more complicated. I have repaired this fault but probably am too far away in Loughrea . Ask at your local garage as to where they get their radios repaired / decoded
