Iv just realised iv left my tacho on other work in the truck, does anyone know what my options are? I know iv to make 2 print outs, so do I take the card out and drive as normal, taking the required breaks etc. Or do I continue on driving 4.5h then take a break etc. This is the part I'm so confused about.

Please move if not correct place,

    Thanks

When u gobin in the morning do a print out and write on the back u forgot to take it out and thevtime u finished at. Just do as normal then forbthe day. Tachos are a nightmare to keep control off.

Does the card stay in for the day? that's the part that's confusing me the most, the dash will be going nuts for me to take a break.

Card in for the day. It's a worst offence being caught driving without a card. Only time I get a warning on dashbof mine is when driving without the card in. I'm driving a hino and a man.

Have a word with your boss about getting it reprogrammed so that it automatically goes to the rest setting when stopped.
There may even be information on how to do this in the user manual.
