    Hey,
I have a 03 Focus that has had a flat battery since November last year. Got it started with the mothers Pug 308, left it running for 15 minutes and everything was fine until the next morning. It went completely flat again (no lights on dash or anything). I had a look at the battery and it says it was changed January 2015 written in TipEx.

    Any advice on this?
    Thanks! :)

You'll need to give it a good long drive for a proper charge. 15mins will do little to nothing to a battery that has been sitting up that long.
Even at that you could still be looking at a replacement.

New battery required. no doubt about it. Go to motor factor where you bought last battery and let them test it for you.

There could be corrosion between the terminal and the pole on the battery.

Car batteries shouldnt be left uncharged for long periods of time. Id imagine you will need a new one or it will let you down again in the future or if we have a few cold nights again.

You can try jumping it again and road driving for 30mins to fully charge battery. Leave overnight and try again.
If flat again, get new battery and give old battery to the shop that sold you the new one, they will take it free.

    Okay thanks everyone,
What brand would ya recommend for a battery?
Was looking in Halfords and they have their own brand which is tempting at €75 :D

Take the battery out and bring it to a garage get it charged should be ok.
Or buy a cheap battery charger yourself if a battery is totally flat an alternator wont charge it properly.

For a 03 Focus a Halfords battery is grand.
Also consider a local motor factor instead of a UK chain ;)

Local motor factors should be cheaper than Halfords too.
But I'd give it a good drive first and see where u stand then.
