Hi I have an 2008 Hyundai i30 and I have a small problem removing One of the l of the bulbs on the headlights it appears to be just pushed into the case of the headlight with no spring locking device .This may seem a vague question but how is the bulb removed?.

There are two bulbs in the enclosure one of them is not working I think it's the dipped beam bulb?

On my Kia, which might be similar, some of the bulbs need a firm twist anticlockwise about a quarter of a turn. The holder comes out.

Thanks for the post the problem is the only way to try and remove the black plastic bulb holder is to pull at the wires which I am afraid to do.There is only a mm of the plastic holder protruding from the enclosure.
Again thanks for the help I have NCT coming up in a few weeks so I have time to sort it out.

You need to pull the multi plug off the back of the bulb. There's a metal clip behind that.
On the i30, you take the whole headlamp unit out when changing bulbs.

My ix35 is exactly the same - there's 2 clips on either side that hold it in place but you're left pulling the wires to get it out. I just changed the sidelight bulb the other day and one of the clips cracked a bit but it all slotted back in ok. I didn't worry too much as this time tomorrow I'll have traded the car in :o
