Librium - strange side effects

    I have been struggling with alcohol dependency for quite a few years now but I'm getting long periods in sobriety between slips. Now I know some here feel this should belong in the non-drinkers forum but as I'm a regular there and the question is pertinent to the side effects of medication I felt it was more appropriate here.

    I'm currently on a course of Librium after a slip with alcohol that my GP prescribed and I'm aware of its effect as a mild sedative and reducing the risk of seizures during withdrawal. But is anyone aware of some odd side effects of Librium along with tiredness? When I'm sleeping, I'm getting very vivid, strange dreams and feel half awake at times. Some of the dreams are a bit disturbing. Like I feel I'm not in my bedroom but somewhere else etc.

    Anyone else aware of this or can direct me to a site that deals with this? Thanks! TBH it's making me a bit anxious and I'd like to see if it's happened to others.
