Cost will be pretty much the same as the cost for replacing the clutch, apart from not needing the clutch parts, and the biggest part of it will be the labour cost, which will be around 4 to 5 hours, so depending on the parts needed once they get in there, you're possibly looking at anything from €350 upwards, and more if the full clutch is replaced.

Don't leave it too long before doing something about it, if it is the release bearing breaking up, it may cause damage to the release bearing sleeve that it slides on, which will add significantly to the cost of the repair. It may also cause damage to the clutch pressure plate fingers, which will mean a replacement pressure plate, and if that's the case, then it will be simpler and quicker to do a complete clutch replacement job, the gearbox has to come off in either case.

Unless there is a reason for the bearing failure that's not related to the rest of the clutch, it's likely that the rest of the clutch is close to end of life, unless someone rides the clutch pedal regularly, or there is some sort of failure of the release bearing.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

Assuming it was moved from the Diy forum and you're not planning on doing it yourself?

best do the clutch and flywheel while its out
could be flywheel or bearing issues

i can price kit for you if you need it

What engine is the car , if the bearing has gone you will need to replace the clutch kit as pressure plate will most likely be damaged and also the sleeve on the input shaft but that is cheap enough

You are probably going to pay around 350 to 450 to get it done depending on where you go and what exact engine it has.
