BOI 1% Student Loan

    Do i need any collateral?
    Do i get the funds straight away after applying?

    Tax credit is €6.65 so thats the amount ontop of the loan total of €1,000 i need to pay right? Nothing more?

    If i defer first three months will i still have to pay €1,006.65 or will i end up paying more?

    Hi Maria Glamorous Fig, thanks for getting in touch.

    Loan applications are assessed on a case by case basis, to apply for the 1% student loan you need to be 18 years old or older, be a full time student and have a Bank of Ireland third level student account.

    Full details and the T&C’s of this loan are outlined here and there’s a good example of what the repayments will be on a loan of €1000. If you defer the first three monthly repayments you’ll pay more than if you paid over the standard term, the total amount will depend on how much you borrow.
