I own a 06 Peugeot 307 hdi. I had intended selling it but value on the open market is ridiculously low plus it driving like a new car. So decided to hold on to it, particularly when I can still get in excess of 1100 km from a fill of fuel without sparing the right foot.
I'm considering putting a set of citroen Alloys under it from a C4 GRAND PICASSO. Current wheels are standard alloys that came with the car. They are 15" alloys and light. They are shod with 195/55 tyres and work very well. Where as the Citroen alloys are 16" with 215/55 tyres. These alloys fit but are quite heavy. Has anyone any experience of this swap. Please let me know how it went.
    Regards Seamus.

    Leave as is.

Be aware any mods must be known to insurer.

Thanks. Your comments are correct, but unfortunately reminds me of the fact we no longer a free nation.
I still would like to hear from any one who did this swap to get feed back on car handling, fuel consumption etc.
Currently getting 5.2l/100km on mixed driving with no mods, down as low as 4.8 on the motorway.

Tyres might be a bit big, I think they're usually 205/55R16
More unsprung weight isn't a good thing. Just how much heavier are these new wheels?

At a guess roughly 1.5-1.75 times the weight. Therefore expecting an increase in fuel consumption and road noise.
