Installing aux in Renault with Cabasse CD changer

Hoping someone on here has some experience of this, I've been scouring the internet but can't find anything that shows how to do this.

I've a Renault Grand Scenic Dynamique that has a 6 CD changer and I'd like to put an Aux In cable into the car. The CDs are loaded into the changer through the actual head unit, so I'm not sure how or where to even start with putting in an Aux cable.

This is a picture of my stereo:

I saw one YouTube video which seemed to suggest that I'd need to install it somewhere under the back seats (which would involve taking up the carpet) but it was shot pretty badly and was also in a different language, so I couldn't see for sure what was happening.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hey Toots, if you're going to use the aux in to play an MP3 player through would changing the headunit hold any interest for you? If you can play your iPod through the car speakers what would you need a 6 disc changer for, right?
Might be worth checking your options with your local car radio shop (not Halfords), they'd be able to tell you if you can run a auxiliary input through your existing headunit & how much it might cost. Other option for using existing headunit would be to contact Renault directly & see what options they have, but I'm sure they'd be looking for stupid money.

All the amp and bits and pieces are under the seat, so yeah you'd need to go digging. Just slide the seat back and you'll see the box.

An fm modulator that plugs into the antenna socket might be the easiest solution.

I just had a look at that, but my CD unit is actually in behind the head unit. There's a storage drawer under my driving seat  And the same under the passenger seat. It'd be the perfect car for smuggling drugs cos it's full of feckin hidey holes.

@TherapyBoy I wouldn't mind changing the head unit but how would that work out with the CD changer in it? I assumed they'd all be connected as one big unit? I had considered getting on to my local Renault dealer but as you say, it'd probably be mad money. Do you know of any decent radio shops in Dublin, I'm on the southside but don't mind travelling a bit.

Pull out the cd changer unit from the dash and see what wiring is behind there.
The amp etc. is still probably not in the dash. Might be wrong of course.

Would I use those two little slots in the head unit to release it?

I.C.E. on the Sandyford road in Ranelagh or Safesounds in Drumcondra if you're going northside. It might be tricky if it's amplified but they've both been around for years so if anyone knows it'd be either of them.
