Kia Ceed clutch whine

    Hi

I have a 141 Kia Ceed 1.6 Diesel and I'm having a bit of annoyance with the clutch. When I'm in 1st gear and release the clutch to biting point there is a small whine coming from the clutch that only lasts till the car starts moving.
The clutch otherwise seems fine and no problems selecting gears. The car has 16K miles.
Would love to hear opinions before I bring it back to the dealer

    Cheers

Back to the dealer with it, do you have a habit of riding the clutch?

No I'd never have my foot on the clutch unless changing gears...

Let the warranty sort it. Sounds like release bearing but don't say nothing.

yeah was thinking that myself. Hope I don't get the usual wear and tear rubbish...

Tell them you will need to seek further advice if Del Boy starts spouting manure.

Our kia dealer told me that they'll replace a clutch under warranty if it's under 35k (miles) otherwise they'll put it down to use and wear.

Well that's good to know.. I haven't done anything near that mileage. Ill drop it up to him tomorrow and we'll see what happens..

just a quick update. Had the car inspected by dealer. He has diagnosed the problem as a pressure plate issue and is replacing the clutch under warranty.
