I'm playing resi7 now and Christ it's so F***ing loud

is the ps pro really quiet? like say Xbox 1 I have seen that running it's like it's not even on that's how quiet it is lol

my ps4 is well ventilated and I dust it almost every second day it's clean as a whistle

Played through all of FFXV and didn't notice the noise of the console once.
Can't comment on RE though but it's a lot quieter than my launch day OG PS4.

RE7 definitely makes it run loud. I game with a headset so not an issue for me but the Pro is loud playing disc based games.

It really depends on game in a weirdest ways.

For example Magicka 2, which is not massive triple A game that pushes hardware to its limit makes my ps4 sound like a jet engine. Then playing something definitely more demanding games.

Loudest noise on mine is it reading the disc and thats not very loud at all. Mine sits beside me on the desk too. I've played Uncharted 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider and a few others lately and I've had zero issues, it's loads quieter than my old launch model.

    Hoover out the vents !!

You would be surprised how much stuff gets in there. Dont break the warranty seal to open them yet :|

I already opened it up last year and cleaned it out even then there wasn't that much dirt and dust inside it and it made no difference.

think I will buy a pro today and trade/sell in my ps4 try to get around 200 if I'm lucky.

Are the noise levels better on the slim than even the pro? Think I'm gonna try CEX and see how much it'll cost me to upgrade to the slim

I've a Pro myself and it's much quieter than the launch model in my experience. I even think the wee processing unit for the PSVR is louder than it most of the time.

I find that the Pro only gets loud when it's launching a game (mainly from the Blu-Ray drive), or when a game is loading after an initial start-up (e.g. new campaign in Doom).

The game's I've played on it so far are Uncharted 4, Doom, PES 2017, Rocket League, COD: MW Remastered, FIFA 17, a few indie games and a good amount of VR games; the latter of which I definitely couldn't hear thanks to my savage Bose ANC headphones. :P
