I'm living just outside Limerick and looking to put in solar panels, probably the tube type.

Any recommended installers in the region?

    hi

we got the tubes installed about 2 years ago and its been running without incident since.
the installation included a new pump shower (to replace our mains pressure electric ) and a new 250 l insulated hot water tank. on sunny days you will get 250l of water at 70c .
it took the 3 guys from solarcraft 1.5 to 2 days to install.
our electricity bill has dropped by 30e to 50e every 2 months since.
we recon it will pay for itself in 10 years.
one of the hidden benifits is that during the spring and autumn when you need to turn on the rads in the evening is that if the day has been anyway sunny the heat in the tank will be transfered in rads via the c.h. system saving you gas or oil as the furnace has less effort.
also even if there isnt enough sun to get the tank up to shower temperature its heated it partially so the immersion only needs to get it from 25c to 40c instead of 10c to 40c
