Dress for day 2

    Hi all,
We are having drinks and some food the day after our wedding in a local pub.
I want to buy a nice dress for the day - thinking something knee length and possibly slightly dressier than what a person would wear on a Saturday night on the town.
I also want to be white/offwhite/nude.
Does anyone have any ideas of places I could look? I don't want to go to the normal river island/top shop as I want something no one else might wear on the day.
Any ideas would be appreciated :)

I'm getting a dress from Chi Chi London that'll double up as a back up dress if there's an accident.

I'm not sure if I'll go white or off white yet, will order a few and try them all on :)

    Chi Chi do beautiful dresses.
The only thing to be wary of is I ordered one in December and it was described as nude, which was also the colour in the picture.

When it arrived it was a nasty shade of brown, not something anyone would choose to wear.
A friend told me she had the exact same issue earlier in the year when she ordered a dress described as cream and it was a pale pink!

So give yourself plenty of time if ordering online in case the colour isn't right and you have to send it back :)

I had a dress for night after but ended up wearing trousers and a vest top!!!! Couldn't face another dress. Enjoyed the comfort of it but then we were only having drinks in our local with family and friends.

Another thing about Chichi if it's the dress with the beautiful lace across the top, there is no give in that lace at all so if you plan to put your arms in the air like you just don't care then you may be restricted :-) I purchased and returned them for my BMs!
To the OP - I'm always singing their praises but lindybop have fab dresses for great prices and the quality are brilliant! They have a whole section of "wedding dresses" in ivory/ white/ champagne colours! I like the Audrey style dresses, there's a bit of stretch in them so they are so comfy and fab quality! I actually got the white brocade Audrey dress for my day after for something like 30euro but are low on sizes in that lately!

you could look at the ASOS bridal section - a lot of those dresses always strike me as good day 2 options if you want to still look a bit bridal.

I have smaller shoulders/bust and I didn't have any issues with Chichi dresses in the past, I've just worn the classic sleeveless lace style they do. I guess it's important to try things on to see if they fit!!

Even if you refine your search on Asos to choose colour white, there are some lovely dresses that aren't in the bridal price point. There's a few particularly gorgeous dresses there at the moment. Worth having a look
