I hope this is in the right section, I'm new to this site.

My 2010 1.6tdi Passat threw up these codes

Coil light starts flashing after a dpf warning light.

    P242A00 egt sensor bank 1 sensor 3
    electrical fault
    P246E00 egt sensor bank 1 sensor 4
    electrical fault

Any idea what would cause this and why the 2 would come on together and where they are located.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

They are codes for the same sensor, there is usually 1 in the dpf and one pre cat and one post cat which it looks like is your issue. Get on live data and see what each sensor is reading, looks like number 3 is dead
