i was in a car crash 10 weeks ago i agree i was in the wrong, the woman i crashes into said we didnt have to get gardi involed that it was fine and we could leave it at that, that there was very little damage to her car only number plate cracked and plastic cap.
recently she showed up out of nowere outside a friends house which i found very strange how she knew were i would be, but went along with it she demanded i get her a new number plate and plastic cap (all items under €20.00) i agreed fair enough i did damage her vehicle.
after i paid these shes been harrasing me for money and threating to bring me to court?
i recently found out she had no tax on the car since april 2016 and accident happened in november 2016. is she able to claim against me even though she had and still has no tax ?
    thanks in adavnce

OP, that is harrassment, get the guards involved. As for giving her more money, let her try bring you to court as there is no proof of an accident at this point.

Not having tax doesn't change the fact that you damaged her car. Her coming looking for money again and again is harassment and if she doesn't stop I'd be contacting the Gardaí.

I would be very careful dealing with her as she could well put in an injury claim against you and go to your insurance for a bigger pay out.

Contact garda station closest to incident go in if you like just to have a record and also contact your insurance.

Her tax or lack their of has no bearing on the fact you hit her or her ability to claim. You can get rapped for the crash, she may get a fine for the lack of tax.

Simply put, get it in writing what you have paid out and a 'thats that' wrap up. If she isn't willing to do so, cease all communication and go to your insurers. Given her lack of tax, she'll probably cool off when she realizes the Gardai will be involved as a crash report will need to be filed, making sure you include a statement about her lack of tax.

Ultimately you are at fault for the crash by your own admission, but you have a strong hand to play as she has a lot to loose for the tax issue should it be pushed into the formal realm. She's quite stupid to be hounding you frankly.

the tax has no bearing on this but if you do go to the guards then just mention it ot htme that you think she may not be up to date with tax etc.
