hello i need help with a law essay for my girlfriend off the last 4 years if she fails this exam she will lose her visa to remain in ireland Eoghan was told by his uncle that if he gave up partying and spending time with his girlfriend to concentrate on his college exams and he passed his final college exams, that his uncle would give him €5,000 in cash the day after the results were announced. Eoghan didn’t attend any parties during the year and didn’t spend time with his girlfriend. He passed all of his exams with a first, but when he presented himself to his uncle for the money, his uncle said that he didn’t have €5,000, but only had €2,000 to give Eoghan. Eoghan was not pleased as he had promised his girlfriend, Aisling, that if he passed the exams that he was planning for the two of them to go on extended holiday across Europe to make up for the time he didn’t spend with her whilst he was studying and the €2,000 would be insufficient for their holiday. The uncle said that this was news to him. Eoghan retorted that he would get further news later that day, when he and Aisling issue High Court proceedings looking for their money and seeking damages owing to the fact that they would have to cancel their holiday. Advise Eoghan and Aisling using case law to support your answer.

Usually I get annoyed with the high horse responses to threads looking for academic help but this one is just ridiculous. If you can't identify the ingredients of an enforceable contract you aren't going to pass an exam.

Surely high Court costs would way exceed the 5k in the first place? And no guarantee of passing exam so how could they have committed to a holiday? And with no written contract in place... Makes zero sense.

    Mod
Sorry, deem this to be a breach of the forum rule against legal advice ( if a genuine enquiry )
Students should do their own assignments
In the alternative it is a spoof
