Having earlier posted on whether diesel or petrol engine in my next car (had diesel but no doing lesser mileage so considering petrol) ,next step is whether to downsize or not ?
Options are :
1 replace the diesel Focus with new or 15-16 reg petrol Focus
2. Replace diesel Focus with new petrol Fiesta- but is buying new rather than next option worth the price diff ?
3. Replace the Focus with low mileage 15-16 reg petrol Fiesta. -

I've always liked Ford so a bit reluctant to look at alternatives/ competitors , but open to advice here from contributirs to this forum on possible alternatives , but from reading the car mag reviews etc I get the feeling that the Fiesta is near the top of the list of best in its category ? Comments on downsizing proposition and possible alternatives to the Fiesta welcome.
