12:55 Haydock - the first race back for Chieftain's Choice after the absolute farce of a race where it had the head pulled off in order to try and stop it at Leicester (incredibly, the handicap rating wasn't reassessed afterwards). Rocklander and Dominada went on to better things after that race, and I reckon my pick could run at least a stone better with the handbrake off. 6/1 current best price which I think is decent value.

I liked the look of hartside in that at 12/1
Seems to run well in the new year when I looked through his form.

Good luck, but I am sweet on mine, bet of the day for me, just watch that last run at Leicester, has to be seen to be believed.

Black key should win the maiden in Navan, Mullins horse is absolutely useless, If Acapella had a jockey on it you could back it to beat abre de vie.

All four haydock races moved by 5mins for TV. So first live race 1.35pm.

What a ****ing joke, 3 meetings on and Haydock going off the same time as Navan.

Surely Elgin is the bet here at Haydock, Neon Wolf odds on seems crazy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

    Neon Wolf was very impressive.

Defies belief. It's as if the BHA and turf club are too stubborn and ignore the fact there's meetings in the two countries

Bookies are cowards, shortening up the top four in the next race at Haydock

Good race there, nothing quite like the sight of 2 mile hurdlers going full clip. Pity The New One has never managed to grab a champion he's there every March but always comes up short.

Poor ride again by Jacob, it was like he was trying hard to take the horse out of it's comfort zone.

Im not sure if he did much wrong to be honest. Horse stopped running as soon as Jacob went for the persuader.

Thats the last time I will be backing L'ami Serge though. He doesnt look genuine imo

What do you do with a horse who hates winning in fairness?

To think this time two years ago he was talked up as a potential rival to Douvan! The joys of hindsight I suppose.

Hang on to him to give him a chance.

He always travelled powerfully but never really reached his potential like a lot of Nickys. I was amazed he was almost joint fav.

And a big price to boot. The fav ardamir is costing people fortunes.

Call me crazy, I have taken a very speculative view on Gevrey Chambertain at 66/1 in the next.

At least I backed it NRNB for the gold cup. Is like to think he won't run after that.

I know it was his first UK run but I cant see him going there on that evidence either.

Not a big fan of Jacob but the horse is simply a hound and wouldn't make any difference who rode it.
