Just collected my 171 Ford Fiesta titanium on Thursday and absolute love it. The 16" wheels really make the difference in the look of the car, more sportier looking. Has power fold mirrors and rear parking sensors ! Anyone else have one? It's my first time buying and driving a Ford it's great, I have it on finance at 300 a month so will be trading it in after the three years and get another one.

    Any picture of it? Colour?

I saw a white 171 earlier today, it looked well.

    What car had you before?

    I like the Fiesta

I had a 2004 vw polo for a year which was my very first car. I'm a 23 year old male so having a brand new car feels surreal 😬

Fiesta is one of the few superminis a bloke can pull off!
    What engine did you get?

1.25 just to keep insurance down, it's quick enough though!

A Titanium spec Fiesta is a massive upgrade from the basic Polo.

Did you avail of the Real deal offer that Ford have?

    What colour is it?

Feel free to post a pic here in the 171 thread

    Really?

The MAX is 3k and even at that that's for cars up to 10 years

I always said I'd never buy new (listened to "Lose half their value" blah blah) but I bit the bullet last year on a new golf with all the toys and love it. Congrats and happy motoring :)

I'm getting a new car next week, a 131 Ford Fiesta valued at 12000 so not brand new. When buying the car will I have to pay a deposit or can I just pay monthly over 3 years( I'll be using their finance)? I'll be hoping to trade in my current 2004 vw polo.
I know but wouldn't be able to afford the final balloon payment at the end for a brand new car that's why I'm getting a used one.
Looking at upgrading my 2004 vw polo as I have it years. Love the look of the Ford Fiesta and my dad has one and has never caused him any problems, very reliable car to be honest.

Anyone have one and can comment. The one I'm looking at is priced at €10500 for the 132 titanium model which is good enough.

No need for roll eyes, the new one was much better value. The 131 was bonkers money.

So in the space of 5 days the OP has gone from looking at a 131 Fiesta to ordering, sorting finance and collecting a 171?

    I think not...

Country needs people like the OP that's prepared to spend their money impulsively and less of the begrudges who think they shouldn't spend that money..:D

dealers carry alot of stock these days so unless you are looking for something very specific or rare you can have the car in a day or two if you have the finance.

You do realize that things happen no matter how hard you look into other posters history ;)

And how the hell did you come up with an idea of someone lying about buying a Fiesta???

Good luck with your new car op.

Applied for a loan for a car of 3500 and they rang me back 3 weeks ago to say it was approved. I work full time, 40 hours a week. If I go to the cu tomorrow will they let me take the money or do I have to wait a certain number of days to get the loan?

    Thanks

So did you have to clear this loan OP before they threw you out finance that you admit you probably cant afford?

New Fiesta coming in June so Ford dealers are giving big discounts to shift stock before Real Deal finishes at end of month.

Paying 12K for a 131 Fiesta as he originally intended was a bit mad.

And I assume you were able to choose the engine for the one in the yard. :)
And you decided that 1.25L would be cheaper insurance than the 1.0L

Finance proposals can be accepted within a couple of hours, if the OP had his proofs ready , there is no reason why he couldn't pick the car up within a day or two. Dealers will have a certain amount of free stock, especially something as popular as the 1.25 Titanium. There's really no mystery or conspiracy here! Honestly, some people love to take the good out of things. Best of luck with the car OP, they're very reliable, I had a couple of Fiesta's before I needed something bigger and they never gave me a days trouble.

Nope. He got a good deal and how he spends his money is his own business. He could blow it on a lot worse.

I'm having my doubts over the OP's new Fiesta

He claims in one post he has his Polo 4 years, in another 2 years and in this post one year.

OP can you take a pic of your silver Fiesta with 16" alloys to stop this heresy!
    No Pic = No Fiesta!

Forget about Trump, this is the news story of 2017!

Begrudgery is part of what we are. Already said he did well. Lovely car and in my opinion more masculine looking than the more neutered looking model that is on the way. Not sure he'll get the same buzz with his second new car in three years though.

He has his Polo shirt 4 years, his Polo pony 2 years and his VW Polo 1 year. No mystery.

Does the titanium not have a higher spec than just elec mirrors and rear reversing sensors. Thought that stuff should come on a near basic model nowadays. (Barring a Dacia :) )
Anyway, OP, well wear with your new car. Throw up a pic.

Rear reversing sensors are not included in Titanium spec. They are an extra €580 in addition to the extra €1700 that upgrade to Titanium costs. Ambient lighting in the footwell and cup holder is included though and a strip of chrome along the side. Will really impress OPs young friends.

OP still probably got a pretty good deal if he took one from stock that the dealer needed to shift.

Fcuk that. Is there a higher spec fiesta than that?

They do the titanium with the sensors and sync at a discount.

ST line is the step up.

The sync is good. We have it on our vans.

Never understood parking sensors in tiny cars.

Real dumbing down of basic driving skills.

Guess that's why they are optional extra even at the higher spec models.

Had some tart in a jeep reverse into my parked car last night. She had parking sensors so they don't even help some people.
