Am I correct in thinking that this dealer is a bit suspect? Looked at a 4WD there this week that was way overpriced, required lots of work doing to it to get it past the CVRT, yet it was a "sold as seen" price and the salesman just wasn't the slightest bit interested in haggling.

I never had dealing with them directly, but I did buy a car from a garage in dublin that was linked with sarfield motors, infact the car had come from sarfield motors. The gear box was feck in the car didnt notice on the test drive and wife drove ot home. Long story short I was shafted lost over 4k.
At the time the owner of the garage I delt with was related to one of the guys in sarsfield.
Dont want to get to specific on an open forum.

I bought a Mazda6 MPS from them back in 2011. Hadn't a bad thing to say about the service or the car. It was in perfect condition.

In 2012 I bought a BMW 335i from them. There was a loud ratchet noise from the engine. Turned out the 2 turbos needed to be replaced. I bought the car regardless and replaced them myself. The warranty I got with the car only covered "sudden failure" items and not wear and tear which this issue was.

Just do your research on the car you want and go in with your eyes open. Check out all known issues as with any motor purchase and it'll be fine but don't expect them to help you with warranty claims or repairs.

So I went back to Sarsfield Motors only to be told that the vehicle was sold. But it is still advertised on their website and still in their compound....some two months later!!!! WTF?
