    Hi all,
I hope you might be able to help a novice on a car question.  What's the difference between a VW Passat and a VW CC?  I tried asking google but typically it answered every question other than the one I asked.
CC seems to be a bit cheaper than a Passat when you compare like to like.  Does that make sense?

The CC is based on the B6/B7 model Passat and is a 4 door coupe. It used to be called the Passat CC up to 2012. Most of the running is the same in both though the CC is pitched more upmarket and cost more when new.

Where are you seeing a CC cheaper than a similar Passat? Are they like for like?

Cheers for that. Perhaps mot cheaper but definitely 'better value'. I'm mainly looking in the UK on Autotraders.

much better value, spec is far higher. have a look at the gt model you get alot for your money. just put down a deposit on a 2013 gt 140bhp manual diesel yesterday.

Cheers.  I don't think I'll get a GT model for my budget and year I'm looking for.
I have test driven a Passat and I really like them.  I just want to make sure that a CC would be at least as good as a Passat.

Mechanically they are both the same but the standard kit on the CC is higher and they are more stylish that the regular Passat. The only draw back on the CC is that the low roofline might be a problem for rear passengers and visibility out the rear is more restricting. The CC is basically a coupe with 4 doors.
