Replace Passat 07 car stereo to what?

    Hi Everyone
    I have a faulty cd player in my 07 Passat and it needs to be replaced Listening to the radio everyday is ruining my mental health:P
    Can anyone give me advise on what car stereo they would replace the standard one provide with by VW and where to purchase it from

    Can anyone advise on Car Audio fitters in the Louth area.

    Depends on your budget. The best OEM head unit would be an RNS 510. It has Sat nav and built in hard drive to store your music on. You would need to spend around 500 quid to get one though. There are also Android head units that offer similar functionality for half the price but they can be hit and miss.

    Otherwise there are plenty of off the shelf single or double din Ines to chose from.

    Would probably be cheaper to just buy one from a scrap yard than have someone look at repairing the existing unit. Either that or just upgrade to something more advanced or functional.

    I was going to replace it with the same model but I was thinking that if it is not too expensive to upgrade the stereo to include Bluetooth for MP3s as well as CD player and maybe sat nav (not that it would be used much but handy if going to drive around Dublin)
    The RNS 510 stereo is a bit expensive so I was wondering what Android Car Stereos are good
