    Hi Folks

I just got a 2014 ford mondeo and the SD card was not with it so I have to get one.

Where is the SD slot in the car?

Part of the front face of the stereo clips off and it's in behind that. It's a few years since I went at one so don't remember the exact details, but the panel was about 20mm by 80mm and clipped on (very approx. dimensions, relying on memory).

Brilliant guys cheers for the quick responses found the port and as I suspected there isn't one in there.

Does anyone know the best place to get one? I see them on eBay but are they trustworthy

Some head units are limited in the capacity they can support, anything over 16gb might not work, you would need to check the manual to be sure. Mymemory.co.uk are usually well priced, Argos shops can be good too from time to time.

I think that is DVD based but I'm not sure, perhaps the initial instal is on the head unit itself and updates or maps can be run from the SD card.

Any Vodafone shop sell them along with Tesco!

Argos sells SD cards as well.
Any local electronics shop should have them too.

Will a normal SD Card operate a SAT Nav though?

Is there Sat Nav currently working on the car? If not then no card will make it work as the head unit would need to have it from new and then rely on the card or a dvd for updates to the maps in the future..

Talk to a Ford dealer. It could be either card or that you may need a software update.
