Anyone else here have the Ford Focus 2011 Sport edition with the Sat Nav in the head unit? I think they were originally only sold in the UK but there's been a solid few for sale around Kerry recently.

If so, has anyone got the navigation part working? All the audio functions are working perfectly but there's no information in the manual about the Sat Nav

is there something wrong with the satnav or is it just not picking up your location?

if it wont find your location its more than likely that the GPS antenna is fried. Its a well documented fault with the car. Basically what happens is water gets in between the base of the antenna and the roof. This is more than likely caused by going through car washes with the antenna on and when the aerial is pushed down by the brushes it creates a tiny gap that water can seep through and eventually this fries the antenna. It was an £80 part that could be fixed in about 10 mins with one screw behind the interior light but ford have stopped making the part. They want to put in a new setup instead which is several hundred.

If you reckon its just the GPS antenna i can try and explain how i sorted mine out for about 20 quid on amazon
