Wireless ANC headphones

    Hi guys,

I currently have these headphones (7DayShop) and while I really love the wireless function and the over-ear style, I really want to bump up the noise cancelling function (it's only ok), and if I'm honest, the looks too. :o I do need optional wired connection though.

I can't afford the Beats QC35's- deally I want to keep the cost to less than €150. My current shortlist is:

    Sony MDR-ZX770BN (€115 on Amazon)

Pioneer SE-MJ561BT-T (€70 on Amazon- they look great and reviews seem good but I don't think they have an optional cable which is a must have for me as a fly a fair bit)

    COWIN E-7 (€76 on Amazon)

Am I missing anything amazing on that list? I remember trying on a pair of ANC headphones in an airport last year and it was like turning off the world when I put them on even without music, but I can't remember the brand- I know they weren't Sony or Bose though, and I don't think they were Seinheisser either. Any ideas or suggestions?

    Cheers.

I read a review site that recommended Samsung Level On Wireless as the best alternative to the Bose QC 25. You can find them for about 110€ in places

What did you go for in the end?

None! Still dithering, and TBH I don't have the cash at the mo. My current ones will do until I spot a good deal somewhere...

Looking out for similar myself, interested to see how you get on

I would be interested to know as well. Currently deciding between buying the 7DayShop headphones that you have, the Sony MDR-ZX770BNs that you mentioned or a wired pair of Jabra Vega. Anyone have any experience of the latter two variants?

Quick update: I opted for the Jabra Vega headphones and so far they have been very impressive. The build quality is fantastic and the ANC feature quite good. It's certainly better than the equivalent with the MDR-ZX770BNs, which I tried a few weeks back. I've just used them on bus journeys and whilst walking in the city centre so far though. Looking forward to trying them on a couple of very-long haul flights soon.

Those Jabras are wired, though, correct?

They are indeed. I was, like you were, originally looking for a pair of wireless headphones too. I had a Bluetooth set prior to buying these but haven't found the loss of that functionality to be an issue so far.

Sony have abysmal noise cancellation... Had them and returned, waste of money...
