Skyscanner booking

    Hi,
So I find a combination of flights on Skyscanner I like at a price I like. Skyscanner gives me the option to book via them ( or e-travel Ireland or similar ).

I used to also just head direct to the airline and do it there for practically the same price. This time the Luftansa price is 100's more expensive.

My question, is booking via e-Travel, or similar safe? I don't want to be one of those people losing their holiday cause a random company went bust and I was dumb.

    Any experience?

I would look up reviews for the sites you are looking at first. Try Trustpilot.

Generally these sites are OK until something goes wrong and their customer service can be bad. Make sure you read the T&Cs carefully as they often charge high fees for name changes, date changes etc. I'd also watch out for some sites that offer you connections for airlines that don't interline (i.e. you will have to recheck your bags and if you miss your connection you are on your own). An example of this would be Aer Lingus to Frankfurt and then a Lufthansa flight. Whereas a Lufthansa flight followed by a United flight would be fine as they are both in Star Alliance.

I would advise booking directly with the airline but if you are saving a lot it's a differenty matter but look up reviews for the booking sites first. Just because it's on Skyscanner does not means it's reliable.

Few days ago I have made booking through the skyscanner. I choose e-bookers option because it was cheapest.

    No problems at all.

They sent me an email with ticket number and reservation number. I have checked the number on airline site (SAS) all good. Tickets confirmed.
