I should post this question in the Biology forum, but it looks a bit a dead, so I try over here.
Do you know what is the specific and "technical" name of those two little holes back in the soft palate through which the air coming from the nose goes straight to the trachea and lungs?
I can't find any info on the web.
    Thanks!

    Plural: Choanae

    Singular: Choana

Not to be confused with conchae, which cover the openings to the sinuses on either side of the nasal cavity.

Holes in the soft palate in the 70s Bowie sense or ones you're born with?

All of the above should win for their geniality and wisecrack, but the winner is...
